North American Life Insurance Company Limited (Nalico) and North American Fire and General Insurance Company Limited (Nafico) are two of the largest life and general insurance companies with fifteen (15) branches across Guyana.
Nalico and Nafico are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Edward B Beharry & Co. Ltd.
Nalico was incorporated on 28th August 1989 and in 1992 acquired the local operations of American Life Insurance Company Limited (Alico). Nalico offers a wide range of Life, Health, Pension and Annuity products. Nafico commenced operations on the 3rd May 1993 and offers a wide range of Property, Liability and Motor Insurance products.
In 1998 we were the first to offer motor insurance to drive in Suriname and currently offer this service FREE to drive there as well as Brazil.
Our business strategy is to align our focus of satisfying customer needs by continuing innovation in our product designs, expand our presence within the geographical locations of Guyana, maintain operational efficiency and ultimately provide an excellent service to our policyholders.
